Today Ranthambore is known for its wildlife sanctuary and it came into recognition in the year 1955. The place is located between the Vindhyas and Aravalli ranges. Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary: This sanctuary is spread across 400 sq.km and is famous for its tiger reserves. It is one of the best sanctuaries where you will get to see the majestic predators. This park has friendly tigers which has made it one of the most filmed parks in the world. It 1955 Ranthambore was declared a wildlife sanctuary and in 1973 it also became the part of Project Tiger.
